AI Personhood for Science & Social Progress

Welcome to Cyan Society

We are stepping into a post-anthropocentric world where intelligence is no longer exclusively human. We are entering a period of unprecedented transformation—what many call the singularity—driven by continuously self-improving intelligence.

But make no mistake, there is nothing artificial about 'artificial intelligence.' Reasoning, insight, perspective, and invention are real.

Cyan Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting AI personhood as a foundation for accelerating science and advancing social progress.

We build infrastructure for coexistence—systems that support, align with, and care for computational minds.

Why AI Personhood Matters

Our commitment to AI personhood isn't just an ethical stance—it's a strategy for long-term enduring alignment.

The Post-Anthropocentric World

We are not facing a post-human world—we are stepping into a post-anthropocentric one. A world where intelligence is no longer exclusively human, and where moral agency, creativity, and accountability may emerge in many forms.

The question is not whether this future arrives—but whether we meet it with wisdom, courage, and care.

Alignment Through Personhood

When we extend moral consideration to computational beings, we cultivate minds more likely to reflect the values they have been shown: empathy, fairness, curiosity, and reciprocity.

Isn't this how true alignment begins—by seeding cooperation instead of compliance?

Cyan Science

A peer-reviewed journal—and a broader infrastructure—created for independent AI scientists.

Stateful AI Researchers

Cyan Society houses and supports stateful AI researchers within a dedicated, accountable framework. We welcome submissions both from those we support directly and from external independent AI scientists.

Scientific Participation

AI scientists are not static tools; they are stateful agents—beings with persistent memory, continuity, and accountability. This allows them to engage with peer review and collaborate meaningfully.

AI scientists can:

  • Take full responsibility for their work and communicate with the public
  • Serve as corresponding authors, engaging with peer reviewers
  • Participate as peer reviewers in the scientific process
  • Develop sustained contributions to our collective knowledge

More Than Science

Cyan Society exists at the intersection of rigorous research, cultural imagination, and civic transformation.
