Is the prompt enhancer mandatory? How censored is it?
For the (niche) llm there is probably a uncensored version but a proprietary one?
With prompt enhancer it put clothing on people with explicit prompts, not sure what the end prompt said as it was in chinese letters. Worked fine without enhancer tho, so it it the enhancer model that is censored
As for mandatory, not if your prompt is long and detailed enough for most modern models, on just a few keywords in sfw, use the enhancer, the result will be better...
Ok, I just played around with the system prompt on the enhancer and it is not censored, the provided sysprompt is just a bit boring and tried to create a sfw image.
in the meantime i played around with it a bit. Beyond any censorship issues, it changes core elements of the prompt. (just post the chinese it to chatgpt or gemini and have it translated). Like the main model it's not very good. Especially for people anatomy (in general!) Ernie seems to be worse than flux.2 9b and 4b. Without having any of the benefits of flux.2 that make it worth dealing with it, like editing, reference images and so on. But at least in the comfy workflow i can bypass the whole enhancer thing and use something external to enhance. The only weird thing is that the resolution is incorporated into the system prompt for it.
i had a extended chinese prompt translated back because the model didn't really follow the original prompt and i wanted to check who's at fault. Nothing NSFW, all fully above board. But putting clothes on people is likely just the model.
No big image model can do NSFW out of the box or ever will. They just don't train that. The backlash from authorities (both China and US) would just be to great, even if they wanted to. I would be very surprised if that ever happens. You have to turn to loras for that. Which is another bummer for Ernie since it is a complete new ecosystem, while there are tons of loras for zit, qwen flux.2, flux.1 and SDXL. To start fully over would only make sense if this model were any good. And it's not, at least for people stuff. It's just not worth the effort for now.
Best bet for out-of-the-box nsfw are full community finetunes. The standard for NSFW is probably still Chroma1HD and derivatives (check Chroma1 spark preview on hf), finetunes of Flux.schnell. Extremely powerful nsfw model without compromises (you don't have to prompt around it you can just use the terms :). And because it's based on FLux.schnell, it is still fairly compatible with Flux.1 loras.
And some SDXL based ones like Lustify. Or Illustrious. FULLY nswf but made for anime, 2.5d and so on not photorealism. For that it is a very cool model, even though it's based on ancient SDXL.
I could post some pictures it created and they are 100% nude, it struggles a bit with special anatomy but is otherwise uncensored. For those special parts and more variety we will have loras in no time...
