Thank you for open-sourcing this project, unlike other non-specific companies who were claimed to be open-source but turned closed after success.
This is NOT open source. The license deceptively has "MIT" in the name, but it is NOT an MIT license. It is using the goodwill MIT has developed over decades and putting MIT's name on their proprietary license. The MiniMax proprietary license includes:
NON-COMMERCIAL LICENSE
Non-commercial use permitted based on MIT-style terms; commercial use requires prior written authorization.
That is NOT open source. It is NOT an MIT license. They are just exploiting the MIT name.
I'll be the first to admit the license isn't perfect, and I agree it shouldn't be called a "modified MIT license." That was a poor choice of framing on our part. I already changed.
